We did a description in class. "Describe" is a level 4 skill, you need to be able to tell me what you see, paint a picture in words of what you can see on the map. The map shows population density, make sure you define the key term. Areas where lots of people live have dense population density, empty areas have sparse population density.
To "explain" what the map shows you need to think about WHY lots of people live near big cities, and WHY poeple DON'T live in mountainous areas.
